Description
NO-BUDGET INDIE FILMMAKING WITH QUENTIN LEE, KOJI STEVEN SAKAI, and STANLEY YUNG

Visual Communications is pleased to partner with filmmakers Quentin Lee, Koji Steven Sakai and Stanley Yung, to bring you a two-day intensive workshop on the craft of creating an independent feature film on a shoe-string budget. Working together for the past 15 years, these filmmakers are the definitive go-to guys when it comes to making a feature with little or no money, as evidenced by their just completed feature film CHINK. Students will learn all stages of production including

Development (story, business plan, marketability and ROI, the art of the pitch and fundraising)

Preproduction (scheduling, budgeting, working with SAG, casting and hiring key crew)

Production (basics, production legal, camera/sound, directing the actors, editing and sound mix/color correction)

Post (festival strategy, marketing strategy, and distribution channels)

This workshop is ideal for producers, directors, production managers, assistant directors, screenwriters, actors, production coordinators, and anyone wishing to make an independent feature film. Beginners are welcome!
